September’s Equinox Chart:

September 26, 2018

By Colleen Schmidt

On Saturday the 22nd of September at 10:00 PM EDT the Sun moved to 0 degrees of Libra creating the Equinox Chart. Recently on a political list I am involved in someone did the this chart and pointed out that Sun/Mercury is opposite Chiron at 0 degrees of Aries. All are squaring Saturn at 2 degrees of Capricorn. Therefore on a dial, for those who are familiar these points are all around the same area on the dial (right on the top.)

But this is also a rather difficult grouping. Charts such as these that take place at the 0 degree of cardinal (Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, Libra) can all be used as predictive charts to look at for the next year ahead.

So looking at this energy we’ll start with Saturn which is often our structures. Parents can be seen as Saturn in a child’s chart. But the government and other official structures can also be represented by this energy. Saturn is a teacher as well as a task master, so Saturn wears a few hats. It is exalted in the sign of Capricorn where it is naturally placed. Saturn squares all the energy being discussed here, so there will be difficulties through parents, structures or even in the government itself. Since we are getting ready for mid-term elections this is an interesting dynamic.

In the meantime Chiron has just moved into the sign of Aries. Chiron is about not following the rules, and in Aries it can be very aggressive and even belligerent about not feeling that rules apply. The irony here is that both Chiron and Saturn are teachers and it will be interesting to learn what they will be teaching us. Maybe about how those who are a part of the structure don’t feel the rules apply to them. With both the Sun and Mercury in Libra, there can be a tendency to try and justify why people don’t think the rules apply to them. Libra is an energy that can be indecisive, but it is also an energy that tends to be able to “justify” everything and anything. Mercury is news and communication but it is also things like being a “trickster” or even capable of telling lies. Sun is what drives people. So people are driven to “fudge the truth” in order to get around the rules. Look at for this, not only will we see this in the media but in your own lives as well.

With all that is going on in politics and with the mid-terms coming up, it may be important to figure out who doesn’t think the rules should apply to them. Right now all anyone has to do is pick up the newspaper, turn on your computer and as you are surfing the information you can’t help but notice.

If we look at this in a different way you can see that structures/restrictions (Saturn) may not apply with the rules (Chiron) because people are not completely honest. (Sun/Mercury)
